About Damon
Damon practices primarily in the area of real estate law through the firm’s Business section with a concentration in commercial real estate lending and sales/acquisitions. The majority of Damon’s clients are lending institutions, and he has closed transactions secured by real estate located in a majority of states. Although this lending practice is Damon’s emphasis, he also represents both local and out-of-state clients in connection with the sale, acquisition and/or development of real estate. The real estate types and uses with which Damon has dealt include retail, industrial, multi-family residential and specialized health care.
Damon is a member of the Alabama (1993) and Texas (2004) State Bars and the Birmingham and American Bar Associations. While in law school, Damon served as Staff Member of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation.
Damon in the community
When I am not in the office, I spend time with my wife, Laura, and my four sons, Jacob, Joshua, Lucas and Benjamin. That typically means that I can be found at the baseball fields and swimming pool during the spring/summer and the soccer and football fields during the fall/winter. I am also active with my church and my childrens’ schools.
