About Greg

Greg is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation group with a concentration on business litigation, class action defense and employment matters. Greg has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation and has handled disputes on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants on a broad range of issues including breach of contract, fraud, bad faith, trade secrets, defamation and unfair business practices claims. While Greg’s practice is centered in Georgia and Alabama, he has represented clients in matters across the United States.

Greg’s clients include national banking institutions, insurers and one of Georgia’s largest residential contracting companies. Greg also currently serves as national litigation counsel for a diversified telecommunications company.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a billing clearinghouse in a consumer class action. Obtained summary judgment and court denied certification. Order affirmed by the Seventh Circuit. (2009-2011)

  • Represented a telecommunications company in arguments in front of the Wisconsin Supreme Court on the issue of application of common law defenses to statutory claims. (2011)

  • Defended an office products distributor in a multi-million dollar fraud and rescission lawsuit brought by a disgruntled customer. Prevailed at summary judgment on all claims asserted by the customer-plaintiff and collected a six figure judgment on the counterclaim. (2010-2011)

  • Represented the seller in a dispute claiming fraud and breach of contract arising out of a stock purchase agreement. Obtained a seven figure recovery for seller after arbitration. (2010-2011)

  • Defended a purchaser of a business against multi-million dollar post-sale EBITDA earn-out claims. Case was favorably resolved via confidential settlement agreement. (2009—2011)

  • Represented a minority shareholder in a dispute with LLC over loan repayment and share valuation. Obtained a six figure recovery for the minority shareholder. (2010)

  • Represented a sub-prime automobile insurer in complex litigation against over eighty insured financial institutions arising out of alleged fraud by a central agent. Successfully settled all issues. (2008-2011)

  • Obtained a six figure settlement on behalf of a plaintiff who claimed that defendants had breached a verbal partnership agreement and committed fraud. (2008-2009)

  • Obtained a six figure judgment on behalf of a residential contractor client against its primary competitor who had misappropriated plaintiff’s sales opportunities. (2006-2009)
