About Harvey
Harvey practices in the firm’s Business section, with an emphasis on corporate law and business planning, including contract and document review and drafting. His practice involves advising clients on a variety of business issues such as entity formation, trademark prosecution, mergers and acquisitions — representing both buyers and sellers in the purchase or sale of businesses, through tax-free mergers, stock purchase arrangements, and asset acquisitions — real estate development, and single and multi-member limited liability companies.
Harvey earned his J.D., cum laude, in 2008 from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a Fellow in the Georgia Supreme Court Law Schools Consortium and the Council for Legal Education Opportunity. While in law school, Harvey was elected Student Justice of the UGA Law Honor Court Hearing Panel and was a Senator for the UGA School of Law. He studied abroad for a semester at Oxford University’s St. Anne’s College, taking such courses as International Intellectual Property and International Administrative Law. Harvey received a B.A. in Philosophy from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2005.
Harvey is a member of the Georgia State Bar and the Atlanta Bar Association.
What was your first job?
My first job was working at McDonald’s, where I remained for 5 years. I began working in drive-thru, but before my senior year in high school, I was promoted to full-time manager. Boy, have I come a long way—from fries to Firm.
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Take law school, especially your first year, one day at a time. Trust me, the future is there and is impacted by what you presently do day-to-day. If you successfully complete the days, they will accrue into a successful law school career.
