About Katie
Katie is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation practice group. She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law where she was a member and an associate editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Washington & Lee University.
What was your first job?
I was a tennis instructor at a summer tennis camp in Savannah.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy cooking, playing tennis, attempting to play golf, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
The best advice I received was to prepare for final exams throughout the semester. The days leading up to the exam are best spent reviewing, understanding the big picture, and relaxing. Your focus the day before an exam should be on being rested and alert for the big day, not on learning new concepts.
How do you spend your weekend?
I like to spend time with family and friends, try new recipes and restaurants, play with my dog Teddy, and travel.
