About J.
J. practices in the firm’s general litigation group, focusing on securities, real property, title insurance, and financial services litigation. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Mississippi State Bar, North Carolina State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association. J. is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and serves on the firm’s Recruiting Committee and Marketing Committee.
He is currently serving as a Vice Chairman of the ABA Trial Insurance Committee and Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Committee.
He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa. Jay obtained his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in May 2003. During law school, he was President of the UNC Broun National Trial Team and a member of the Craven Bench Moot Court Team.
