Dorsey Carson quoted in Mississippi Business Journal article on recent case win

Dorsey Carson and Cheri Gatlin, partners in the Jackson, MS, office, recently won a case that went before the Mississippi Supreme Court. The unanimous reversal of a lower court decision denying the Contractor coverage under the same theory that has been used to deny coverage to contractors in Mississippi since 2003 when the Fifth Circuit issued its opinion in ACS Construction Company v. CGU, a very unfavorable opinion for contractors. The Mississippi Supreme Court’s opinion includes, incredibly, a stated disavowment of the 5th Circuit’s Erie Guess in ACS.
